Season Opener a Success!

WRCC athletes had a successful weekend at the Season Opener Regatta. 18 athletes had a jam-packed weekend of races at the regatta which was held at Pike Lake on May 30th and 31st.

It was a great way to start the season. Athletes had great results at the race course, despite the challenging winds on Saturday and brought home a bunch of medals.

Thanks to coaches Dave Robertson and Tiera McLeod for the support they gave all the athletes; the Laplante Family who drove the boats; to Jerry Fense who was the team manager for the trip. Thanks all to those parents and family members who came to support the team.

The results arrived too late to print in the LeaderPost, but we would liek to congratulate all athletes for such a great start to their competitive season.
