Spectators & Parking
Races can be viewed best from Pine Island. However, the race course runs close to many of the shorelines of the lake so there are good views from many different vantage points.
Pine Island offers spectatcular viewing from the shoreline deck or the elevated lawn area. Spectators will have a a clear view of the finish line. Those wishing to see the races from the North Shore will view them best from Trafalgar Overlook which is adjacent to the 500m starting line. There will be some bleacher seating available on Pine Island, but it is recommended that spectators bring their own lawn chairs.
Lakeshore Boulevard, which runs along the south shore of the lake, will be closed from Monday, August 23rd to Monday, August 30th to the general public.
Spectator parking will be available at the Conexus Art Centre, which is within short walking distance from Pine Island. There are no event or parking fees for spectators. Handicapped parking will be available for those who have a handicapped permit at or close to Pine Island.
Food concessions will be available on Pine Island.
